Geauga Growth Partnership is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Ohio Means Jobs to offer a Virtual Job Fair for students who are seeking employment. This job fair will include 25 local employers who are seeking to hire now! This is a great opportunity for students to connect with local businesses, obtain employment and potentially get started on a career path! For information see the job board on the school counseling webpage, or go to the school counseling office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors!

Become a GGP Intern this summer! The applications period is open until April 26th. Go to the school counseling office for more information.

The cold weather on Tuesday afternoon didn’t stop the Lady Wolverines’ bats from heating up as they soundly defeated Wickliffe, the only remaining undefeated CVC team. It was an overall team effort led by the hitting power of Frankee Flesher and Tara Gall, who both hit one over the fence to help secure the 15-5 run-rule victory. Haley Ottman led the Wolverines to victory in the pitcher's circle. Ottman surrendered five runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two. The Lady Wolverines improve to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the CVC. With this win, they keep themselves in the running to be on top of the CVC.

Any student wanting to take classes through the CCP program needs to turn in the CCP intent form by May 1st! You can find the intent form under the College Credit Plus tab on the high school website, or in the school counseling office.

The West Geauga Club Hockey Team is hosting a 4 x 4 scrimmage event this Friday for anyone interested in joining the team. Flyers will be posted and available in the office as well. Students can also email denise.garrett@westg.org.

Attention Seniors:

We are so happy that all of you will get to experience the fun Senior end-of-year activities. One of those activities is SENIOR DECISION DAY! We will be celebrating all of the seniors' post high school plans on Monday, May 3rd during Senior English classes. The School Counselors will be holding this event in Room 124. If you do not have an English class at the high school please stop in during a study hall or free time. We will be asking each senior to be prepared to indicate what they plan on doing after graduation. A certificate will be created to celebrate that plan whether it is the world of work, military, or school. A picture will be taken of each student signing their certificate. Do not forget to wear gear that represents your plan! There will be a brief survey in Naviance that will need to be completed. This is an important survey as it will help determine where final transcripts get sent. Please remember to bring your chromebook and Naviance login information. Another part of the survey requests information about scholarships that have been awarded. Please try to compile that information too. Congratulations to all of you and the best of luck as you continue your journey!
