Auditions for this year's spring musical, Anything Goes!, Will be held the final week before break. Dance auditions will be held on Monday, December 16th in the Middle School Gym, starting at 5pm. Vocal Auditions have moved to Wednesday, December 18th, from 5-8pm. Sign up for an audition time by the choir room. Callbacks have also moved to Thursday, December 19th. Shout out to the swim team for a great showing at the Edgewood Invitational this past Saturday! Girls finished 4th out of 11 teams, boys finished 6th out of 12. Many swam personal bests! And congratulations to freshman Ashley Chase for setting a new school record in the 500 freestyle!!

Our Chinese class won the third place in the Chinese speech competition at the University of Akron yesterday. They sang a Chinese song "duì bú qǐ,wǒ de zhōng wén bú hǎo ". They had a great time seeing the other schools and they hope to go again next year!

Congratulations Grace Gyetko on your fantastic performance Saturday at the State Cross Country Championship Meet! Grace finished 54th / 176 total runners on a very cold and windy day! Grace, Julia Martinez, and Skye Hackathorn ran times this season that put them on the "top 20 of all time" leaderboard at West Geauga! Great job to all members of the xc team this season.

Attention all Interact members: there will be a general meeting for all members today, October 28th, during 5A in the library. See you there!

This past Saturday the girls XC team ran in the Regional Meet at Boardman HS and fought through some nasty weather finishing 14th/20 teams. All the girls ran their hearts out, but only one came away as a state qualifier! Congratulations sophomore, Grace Gyetko, on qualifying to the State Meet for the first time! Grace was 14th out of 151 runners, ran a time of 19:42, and will compete next Saturday in Hebron at the State XC Championships. Other notable finishes were turned in by Skye Hackathorn (54th) and Julia Martinez (57th).

Congratulations to Junior Patrick Garrett who qualified to the State Cross Country Championships. Patrick finished 24th at the Regional meet at Boardman HS. He will compete this Saturday in Columbus. Congratulations Patrick- you're going to State!

The Girls Cross Country team ran an awesome team race Saturday at Madison HS and qualified for Regional Championship Meet at Boardman HS next Saturday. Season PR's were run by everyone, and this was the first time since 2005 that the girls team has qualified to Regionals!

Congratulations girls XC on your effort this past Saturday at the CVC Meet. The girls turned in a 5th place finish, but had three girls earn top honors.  Julia Martinez finished 10th followed by Skye Hackathorn in 12th. Both girls earned 2nd team all CVC honors. Emily Vash finished 24th and earned Honorable Mention.  Good luck girls next week at Districts!

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team -they finished 2nd at the CVC Cross Country Championships at the Geauga County Fairgrounds on Saturday.  Earning First Team CVC honors were Patrick Garrett (2nd overall) and Johnny Patterson (4th overall). Second team honors went to Ken Kirk (10th place) and Chris Whiting (16th place).  Good Luck this weekend at Districts!

Led by Patrick Garrett who finished in second place, Kenny Kirk 6th place, Johnny Patterson 7th place, Chris Whiting 25th place, John Mikes 34th place, Joey Tirabassi 36th place, and Dakota Deets 42nd place.

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team who won the McDonough Invitational on Saturday. Led by Junior Kenny Kirk (3rd place), Freshman Chris Whiting (7th place), Sophomore Lorenzo Linek (8th place), Freshman John Mikes (12th place), Sophomore Dakota Deets (19th place), Grant Congdon (20th place), Aiden Murley-Schaffer (21st place) and Christian Beazel and Ted Clouser the team dominated the race - scoring 49 points - second place was a distant 125 points.

Freshman and New Students who are interested in getting involved in HS. Applications for Student Council are available now in the main office or from Mrs. Meyer. Applications are due THURSDAY, AUGUST 29th

The Attendance Office, Guidance Office, and Main Office are looking for office aides this year. Please stop down and grab an application if you are interested in being an Aide.

Online Emergency Forms need to be completed no later than August 30th. Please make sure your parents/guardians get them completed as soon as possible. Thank you.

Attention all players interested in baseball for this coming spring season. We will have a short sigh up meeting in the library after school on Thursday Aug 29th. This will be a sign up and informational meeting for all returning and new players. The meeting will not last long and will start around 2:45. If you can not attend please stop by Mr. Smith's room to sign up this week.
