The Geauga Wolverines Ice Hockey Team is holding tryouts for the 22-23 season on Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd. The team is coed and is open to high school students from any school district. New skaters and goalies with the drive to excel and willing to put in time over the summer are welcome. Come and cheer on your favorite team at the Interact Dodgeball Tournament this Wednesday at 6 PM in the HS gym! All proceeds will go to support the Ronald McDonald House of Northeast Ohio.
Students who plan on continuing with CCP OR who will be new CCP students for the 2022 - 2023 school year need to complete a mandatory letter of intent by April 1, 2022. This includes students who plan to take CCP courses in the WGHS building, or, on a college campus. There are no exceptions to the April 1 deadline. Please see your counselor with any questions.
Scheduling for next school year is still happening! Freshmen - your sessions start today and run through tomorrow. Any questions or if you don't have access to your Counseling google classroom, please see Mrs. Porter. And make sure you follow the directions posted on Google Classroom about how to complete the rest of your scheduling requests with electives and additional courses. You will be using the Academic Planner on Infinite Campus.
The Geauga Growth Partnership Youth Workforce Summer Incubator is now accepting applications from eligible students from across Geauga County to be a part of the 2022 Summer Cohort. We welcome all rising juniors, seniors, and 2022 graduates living in or going to school in Geauga County to apply for this unique summer work-based learning experience. As part of the program, you will: be matched with a Geauga County business; be paired with a workplace mentor; take part in weekly career readiness workshops; work towards fulfilling graduation requirements; network with peers from other schools; and be paid for your hard work! WG Students: Are you interested in finding full-time, part-time, summer/seasonal jobs, as well as internships and apprenticeships throughout Geauga county? If so, please stop down to the school counseling office to sign up for a job fair on Friday, April 8th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. We will provide transportation to Cardinal High School. All branches of the military will be present. See you school counselor with any questions!
