Attention seniors: The West Geauga Education Association is offering a scholarship for seniors pursuing a career in education, or be the son or daughter of an educator. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a career in education. Academic achievement, community involvement, and activities will also be considered. Deadline is March 15. See your guidance counselor for details.

Congratulations to Hannah Zahniser! Hannah finished 5th at Wednesday's district diving meet qualifying her for the state diving championship next Wednesday in Canton! Way to go Hannah!!

Varsity softball practice will start Tuesday, February 19th at 2:45 pm. Meet outside the athletic director's office; bring your gloves and bats.

Seniors! The results are in. This year's prom theme will be... A Night in the Lights! The colors will be gold and white. Thank you to all who voted!

Were you interested in the Costa Rica trip in June 2020? Applications are due by today, Feb 15th at the end of the school day. Spots are filling fast. Make sure you and your parents complete all parts and you secure two teacher recommendations. See Mr. Sustin, Mr. Bryan or Senora Talty for information.

Any students interested in being a camp counselor for the 6th Grade Camp in April should pick up an application from Mr. Dahlhofer. Completed applications are due Wednesday, February 20th . If you have any questions, please email Mr. Raines at the middle school.

West G’s Enchanted Forest Snow Ball dance will take place on Saturday March 2nd from 8-11pm. Tickets are $20 each and will Be on sale during lunch the week of the dance. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this wonderful enchanted evening!

Student Council will be hosting the annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, March 8th. Students may donate during the school day if they meet donation requirements. Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with a signed permission form. Please check you school emails for donor information and to sign up for a donation time. The New Girls Lacrosse Team will be starting practice on Tuesday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the gym.  All Ladies are encouraged to join, no experience necessary.

Congratulations to our students of the month: Vince Pasquale: Kiwanis Student of the Month for February and Julia Teeter: Rotary Student of the Month for February.

Driver Education classes will be held after school for two weeks starting Monday, February 25th through Thursday March 7th from 2:45 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. in room #105. The cost for the classes and behind the wheel lessons will be $349.00. There are no added costs.
