Attention Students. Are you interested in learning a new sport? Come check out West Geaugas first ultimate frisbee club! Join us after school on Wednesdays from 3-5 and Thursdays from 2:30-5. Please see Ms.Blair for more information.



Attention all baseball players not currently in a school sport. Open field will be held on Tuesday the 14th from 3-5 pm. Please show up at least 10 min early and be ready to get in some work. We can throw and play pick up games so get a group of your baseball playing friends together and lets get it started



LEAF will hold a VIRTUAL session called College Application Tips and Timelines for HS Seniors and their parents on Monday, September 20 at 6:30 PM via a Google Meet. Hear from schools such as Case Western Reserve University, Lakeland Community College, and The Ohio State University about the do’s and don’ts for the college application process. Topics will include the Common Application process, essay requirements, recommendation letters, admissions timelines, scholarships, and more. Space is limited for this free session. Register online or call 440.525.7095 to reserve a seat.



Interested in learning the art of beekeeping? The 2022 Beekeeping Scholarship application is now available! Come to the counseling office for more information!



Attention Juniors and Freshman! The PSAT/NMSQT is being given on October 13th. Those interested in taking the exam need to fill out the google form found on the high school website.



Student Council members: Our first Student Council meeting of the year will be this Wednesday after school in room 124. If you cannot attend in person a zoom link will be posted in the Google classroom.



Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team who continue to bring home the hardware. The Boys finished second at the Walsh Jesuit Invitational on Saturday.  Leading the boys once again was Dan Kearns (5th), Grant Congdon (8th), Matt Dienes (9th), John Mikes (12th), Chris Whiting (21st), Dakota Deets (41st), Gavin Clark (60), and Adam Fousek (73).  Congrats alo to Bobby Vash who placed 7th and Christian Beazel who finished 20th in the Open race.  Good Luck this weekend at the McDonough Invitational.  GO WOLVERINES!!!

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team who continue to bring home the hardware. The Boys finished second at the Walsh Jesuit Invitational on Saturday.  Leading the boys once again was Dan Kearns (5th), Grant Congdon (8th), Matt Dienes (9th), John Mikes (12th), Chris Whiting (21st), Dakota Deets (41st), Gavin Clark (60), and Adam Fousek (73) Congrats also to Bobby Vash who placed 7th and Christian Beazel who finished 20th in the Open race. Good Luck this weekend at the McDonough Invitational.

Xavier will be here today, University of Cincinnati and Gannon on Tuesday, Wednesday brings University of Akron and Washington and Jefferson University, and Eckerd will be here on Friday. Make sure you log into Naviance and sign up for any visit you want to attend! Come to the counseling office or email your counselor if you have any questions!!

Attention seniors interested in coaching, playing, or watching powderpuff: shirt and jersey sales end today, September 9th at midnight. This sale can be found on Infinite Campus under the "School Store" and it is $25 for players, $15 for coaches, and $10 for general shirts.

If you are planning on submitting either a professionally taken portrait or a do-it-yourself image, these are due September 17. If your image has not been submitted by then, you will be asked to get your picture taken on school picture day for use in the yearbook. Details for portrait submission can be found on the high school home page. If you have questions, talk to Mrs. Klampe or Ms. Thrasher.

Attention all students who are driving to school:

You must purchase a parking permit for this school year. We will begin checking the lot next week, September 8th. If you filled out the parking permit form please pay for your permit ASAP. The fee has been added to your IC account so your parents may pay on IC. The form can be found on the high school website in the news section in the center of the website.

A few attendance reminders as we start the new year:

  • If you are late to school or leaving early, please sign in or out at the attendance window.
  • Notes for early dismissal should be dropped off in the attendance office first thing in the morning.
  • Permanent late arrival and early dismissal forms are available on the high school website. Please have your parent log in to the form using your student google account. Once your status has been approved your studyhall will be changed to late arrival or early dismissal.
  • Advisory periods - Please make sure you report to your scheduled advisory teacher for attendance before going anywhere else.
